    Yes. Reservations are required on all services.
  • What is the age policy?
    Guest seeking permanent and semi-permanent procedure must be at least 18 years of age.
  • When should I have my wedding hair and makeup trials?
    We recommend scheduling your trial at least 2~4 months before the wedding date. Trials are reserved for bride's only. It may last up to two hours. Facials are not advised one week before your trial date and one week before the wedding date.
  • What can I expect on my first semi permanent / permanent make up visit?
    Expect to come at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. This will allow time to read and fill out forms. We will take a before picture of your face. Our consultation will start with clean and numbing the desinated area. Then we will start with choosing the right color. Then we will create a symetrical shape and design. Light grooming may be needed (depending on the location). In most cases the procedure will take 1~2 hours. Numbing cream may be reapplied during procedure. We will take a after photo when the service is completed. After the procedure, the area will be swollen and sensitive. In some cases light spotting may occur. Depending on the procedure, keep the area dry for the next 48 hours or as directed. For additional information, please read under the title that applies to your procedure. Use protective cream as advised. Allergic reaction is rare, but is still possible even with the most advanced and top quality products. Clients will assume liability. Alcohol should not be consumed 24 hours before and after the procedure. Alcohol can cause excessive bleeding during and after the procedure when present in the clients system. Inadequate after care procedures in healing phase of the skin can lead to poor results.
  • What to expect : 3D / Microblading
    After the procedure, the skin will be red and flushed in a similar way to moderate sunburn. You may also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity on the treated area. In some cases very mild spotting of blood may appear on the first day. In the first 48 hours, do not get your eyebrows wet. Avoid steam and water on the treated area. Do not wash your face at least 5 hours, optimally 12 hours, after the treatment to ensure optimal effect on the area of the procedure. Only use protective cream as directed. Flaking and scabs will form as it heals. The scabs and flakiness will come off naturally. Do not attempt to pick at them. Let the scabs and flakiness fall on their own. Do not apply anything other than protective cream as directed to prevent possible infections or allergic reactions. Protective cream should be applied according to detailed instructions for use. In the first week after the treatment, avoid public bathing, sunbathing, tanning salons, saunas, beauty treatments and intense training accompanied by sweating (sport activities), and contact with the household dust. Do not use Botox as well as dermal fillers during healing process. Botox or implantation of dermal fillers can resume after 5 week or after skin has fully healed. Results vary depending on the client's skin reaction with the pigments. Pigments may last 1~3 years depending on client's skin type. Scheduled maintenance sessions is recommended every 12 to 18 months to preserve the longevity of the pigments and design. Practitioners and all persons representing the salon are not liable for any inadequate after care procedures or skin types that may lead to poor results.
  • What should I be aware of when receiving semi permanent make up?
    Please refrain from washing the treated area at least 5 hours, optimally 12 hours, after the treatment to ensure optimal effect on the area of the procedure. Protective cream is to be applied according to detailed instructions for use. Please do not use any other creams except the ones recommended to you in order to prevent possible infections or allergic reactions. In the first week after the treatment, please avoid public bathing, sunbathing, tanning salons, saunas, beauty treatments, intense training accompanied by sweating (sport activities), and any contact with household dust. Do not use Botox as well as dermal fillers during healing process. Botox or implantation of dermal fillers can resume after 5 week or after skin has fully healed. Laser or light therapy is not recommended until skin is fully healed.
  • What to expect: Ombré / Shadowing / Micro-Embrodery

  • What to expect: Permanent eye liner Upper / Lower
    Eye lids may become swollen and red after the treatment and the client may also feel some tingling. Clusters of yellowish spots will appear in the treated area and remain visible up to 5 days. Avoid steam and water on the treated area. Do not apply any makeup on the face including eye lids for the next 48 hours. Only use protective cream as directed. All these side effects should disappear within 7 to 10 days. Proper aftercare product application is of great importance. One treatment is usually enough to achieve the desired results. The results are expected to last up to 3~5 years. It is important to carefully and gently nurture your skin after the treatment to allow healing without complications. Do not use Botox as well as dermal fillers during healing process. Botox or implantation of dermal fillers can resume after 5 weeks or after skin has fully healed. Depending on the client's skin reaction of the pigments, results vary on every client.   • What to expect: Permanent lip color
    Your lips are one of the most sensitive areas on your face. Additional numbing cream may be needed. Pre-procedure and after photos may be taken. Color and shape will be customized. Depending on the client's skin reaction of the pigments, results vary on every client. Pigments may last 1~5 years, depending on client's skin type. After the procedure, you will experience puffiness and sensitivity of the lips. Avoid eating spicy food and hot water for at least 24 hours. Flakes will form as it heals. The flakiness will come off naturally sometimes in large pieces. Do not attempt to pick at them. Let the flakiness fall on their own. Protective cream should be applied according to detailed instructions for use. Please do not use any other creams except the ones recommeneded to you in order to prevent possible infections or allergic reactions. We advise to schedule your touch up session 10~14 days after the initial proceedure. Color should set after two weeks from the touch up session. Scheduled maintenance is advised to preserve the longevity of the pigments and design.   • Cancellations for semi permanent make up, lash lifts, and lash extension appointments"
    At Black Box Artistry, we have reserved your appointment especially for you. We would appreciate your understanding and cooperation with regard to cancellations. If you have scheduled an appointment and find that you must cancel, please do so at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled time in advance. If appointments are not cancelled within the designated time, your account will be charged in full. Deposites are non-refundable.
  • Do you offer gift certificates?
    Yes, we do! Gift certificates are redeemable at the monetary value of the service at the time of purchase. Authentication number and card must be presented before service is rendered. Lost, misplaced or stolen certificates or authentication number are not refundable, replaceable and no longer valid. Gift certificates are redeemable at the monetary value of the service at the time of purchase. Gift certificates can only be purchased directly from Black Box Artistry. Gift certificates are not refundable.
  • What form of payment is accepted?
    Cash and all major credit and debit cards are welcome. Payment is accepted through square.
